Message from Deputy Manager

First of all I want to thanks  to give me such honorable time to express my deep initiation of My union. As we know agriculture is abase of life specially in Ethiopia. It holds about 85% of Ethiopian Economy.

In order to achieve such economy it must to be collaborate with cooperatives. Hence, it can solve daily socio economic problems concerning their life span. Meki batu fruits and vegetables growers cooperative union  is one of the greatest union to solve such biased socio economy among Rift valley areas. As we know in rift valley areas there bulk amount of vegetables production are there, in order to produce quality products union is working with GGAP project with horizontal line. As a result, we have certified 374 farmers in order to get certificate. This certificate leads farmers to compete in global market. hence, one prominent problem of Union problem is market linkages.

The Union also trying his best to solve such problem with different governmental bodies as well as different NGO’s. Finally, I conclude that hence horticulture is perishable products and holds very essential economic point of view in Rift valley areas, every stallholders have to play a vital role in connecting market linkages.
