Background history of union Meki Batu Fruits and vegetables Growers’ Cooperative union ltd It was established in Ethiopia, oromia region at Meki town on May 11, 2002 A.G Meki Batu Fruits and vegetables Growers’ Cooperative union started by twelve (12) Primary Cooperative contain 527 members(461 male and 66 female) in two districts (Dugda woreda and Adami tulu Jido kombolcha) near to Dembal lake.

- Currently have 153 Primary Cooperatives and 8,410 member farmers
- Own capital about 81.8 million ETB
- Extended districts to Bora, Zuway dugda, Adama, Dodota sire Woredas
- Size of irrigated land owned by members, Hectare 600 hector

- To consolidate and sell members’ produce to local and foreign market
- To supply appropriate agricultural inputs for producers at fair price, on time and required amount.
